BSP (G) Thread Stainless Steel Filter Housings
Stainless steel filter housings with BSP (G, BSPP) parallel threads, the thread used on most pipework in the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Every threaded housing we sell is listed in BSP and NPT at the same price, so you can order the thread that matches your pipes instead of adding adaptors.

BSP, G, BSPP and BSPT: what is the difference?
- BSP (British Standard Pipe) is the family name.
- BSPP is the parallel version. It is marked G under ISO 228 and seals with a washer or O-ring, not on the thread itself. Our BSP ports are BSPP / G.
- BSPT (marked R or Rc) is the tapered version that seals on the thread with tape or paste. A tapered male fitting will usually screw into a parallel G port, but check the seal before you rely on it.
- NPT is the US tapered thread. NPT and BSP look alike but do not seal together, even when the size is the same.

- Delivery: free standard shipping to the UK, EU, Australia and New Zealand, usually 7 to 14 days. Local import VAT, GST or duty may be collected on delivery.
- Price: BSP and NPT cost the same. Prices are shown on each product, in US dollars, with multi-item discounts applied at checkout.
- Stock: SUS304 standard housings ship within 7 days. SUS316 and bag or multi-cartridge housings are made to order.
- Minimum order: one unit. For 20 or more, ask for a quote.
FAQ
Will a BSP housing fit my existing filter cartridges?
The thread only decides the pipe connection. The cartridge must match the housing diameter (2.5 in or 4.5 in jumbo) and length. See the filter cartridge size guide.
Can I use these housings on drinking water in Australia?
Our housings do not carry WaterMark or other drinking-water approvals. Check your local plumbing rules before connecting a housing to a potable water supply.
Do you make other BSP sizes or BSPT ports?
Yes, on custom orders. Send the size, thread type and quantity through custom filter housings.
Is 304 or 316 better for my water?
SUS304 suits most water duties. SUS316 resists chlorides and salt water better. See 304 vs 316 stainless steel.
